Site-diluted two-dimensional Ising models with competing interactions

M.J. Velgakis

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1989, vol. 159, issue 2, 167-169

Abstract: The effect of dilution on the location of the boundary line of the ferromagnetic phase in Ising models on a square lattice with nearest neighbour ferromagnetic and competing antiferromagnetic next-nearest and third neighbour interactions is studied using Monte Carlo (MC) techniques. In particular, the biaxial next-nearest neighbour Ising (or BNNNI) model and the two-dimensional version of Widom's lattice model for microemulsions are considered.
