Iterative treatments for homogeneous fluids

M.-E. Boudh-Hir

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1990, vol. 162, issue 3, 499-512

Abstract: Using the graphical expansion theory, it is found that a homogeneous system can be treated as two coupled systems. The first one is called the reference system. The second, referred to as the fictitious system, is defined from the first one and can be considered as a system of particles occupying cells which play the role of the reference system particles. The latter may be treated as a dilute fluid system. The developments presented can be used to find a self-consistent approximation allowing the use of the more adequate approximation for each part of the pair potential.
