Abstract:
We introduce a one-hump fully developed chaotic piecewise linear map with a control parameter which tunes the shape and therefore the value of the Lyapounov exponent of the map. The graph of the Lyapounov exponent as a function of this parameter shows several discontinuities, which are explained both qualitatively and quantitatively.
