Singularities in the nonisotropic Boltzmann equation

Abstract: We consider solutions of the nonlinear Boltzmann equation (NLBE) with nonisotropic singular initial conditions. The NLBE is transformed into an integral equation which is solved iteratively. The evolution of delta and step singularities in the distribution function during the initial layer is discussed and compared with the isotropic case.
