Abstract:
Using a Loschmidt cell and a new cell for counting isotropic decay in the gas phase, the tracer diffusion coefficient of Kr85 in argon has been measured at 300 K. The results are compared with two similar sets of data obtained in this laboratory, the first using a mass spectrometer with a Loschmidt cell and the second a simple thermistor bridge with a similar cell.
