High-temperature superconductors above Tc

Nevill Mott

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1990, vol. 168, issue 1, 221-228

Abstract: An outline is given of a model of high-temperature superconductors developed by the author, following Prelovsek et al. and others. Attention is given particularly to the behaviour of these materials above Tc. Phenomena not dealt with previously are the highly anistropic compound Bi2.1Sr1.9CuO6±δ (Fiori et al.), which gives strong support for the model, and recent results of the Cambridge group on doping YBCO with Zn or Co.
