Physical properties of hyper-porous systems

R. Maynard

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1990, vol. 168, issue 1, 469-477

Abstract: Hyper-porous materials like the silica aerogels are assumed to belong to a class of heterogeneous solids named: hierarchical sponge. From the geometrical and elastic parameters of the structure it is possible to analyse the elastic, vibration and transport properties. The anomalous criticality superfluid 4He filling up the porous structure is analyzed in the framework of this model.
