Robertson's formalism with explicitly time-dependent observables

Abstract:
Robertson's projection formalism is extended to the case of explicitly time-dependent observables. It is shown how perturbation theory has to be modified to obtain tractable equations of motion. In an example the formalism is applied to coupled systems driven at high power.
