Abstract:
In this paper we describe some recent results on equilibrium wetting and contact angles and on the dynamics of wetting. We discuss analytically a model with Langevin dynamics and study another model with stochastic dynamics using computer simulation techniques. Both models exhibit a precursor film and agree extremely well in their characteristic time behaviour.
