Coherent anomaly method with a new mean-field type approximation

A. Lipowski

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1991, vol. 173, issue 1, 293-301

Abstract: In the present paper we propose a new mean-field type approximation based on multispin effective fields determined from self-consistency conditions for some correlation functions of a cluster. Using the transfer-matrix method we investigate finite width strips of spins for square. honeycomb and triangle lattices. The results obtained exhibit good scaling properties and can be analyzed with Suzuki's coherent anomaly method yielding a very accurate estimation of the critical temperature and the critical exponent ψ.
