Fast and slow sound in binary fluid mixtures

A. Campa and E.G.D. Cohen

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1991, vol. 174, issue 2, 214-222

Abstract: Some recent light scattering experiments on fast slow sound binary fluid mixtures are analyzed on the basis of a hard sphere model, introduced earlier. The association of fast and slow sound with the light and heavy component of the mixture, respectively, is confirmed by considering the temperature-temperature correlation functions for these mixtures.
