Semiclassical statistical mechanics of simple molecular fluids

S.K. Singh, N. Prasad and S.K. Sinha

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1991, vol. 179, issue 3, 378-410

Abstract: Expansions are obtained for the density-independent pair distribution function for two- and three-dimensional molecular fluids in the semiclassical limit. These results are used to obtain the quantum corrections to the second virial coefficient for the fluid of hard v-sphere dipoles and Lennard-Jones (12-6) dipoles. The second virial coefficients for fluid H2 and HCl are also discussed.
