Abstract:
The real space scaling of the electron charge fluctuations in strongly correlated oxides developed in a previous work is continued beyond the state of maximum electron localization - the MEL state. It is found that in one dimension the d electrons remain localized in the sense of a finite region of confinement, for any non-zero strength of the d-electron interaction, in agreement with the known model results. On this basis, an asymptotic form of the lattice-averaged intersite correlators in one dimension is derived as a function of the average on-site dispersion. In higher dimensions the situation is more complicated but in two dimensions one would expect the same asymptotic behaviour of the correlators along the Me-O-Me lines.
