On magnetic properties of copper-oxide high-temperature superconductors at moderate doping

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1992, vol. 183, issue 3, 351-360

Abstract: The temperature-concentration phase diagram of CuO-based high-temperature superconducting compounds is discussed with regard to magnetic order. A curve of the antiferromagnet-to-spin-glass crossover is calculated. In particular, for the ratio of the ferromagnetic to the antiferromagnetic interaction, due to a hole located at an oxygen ion, equal to 25 and the number n of oxygen ions that share the hole equal to 12, the calculation yields for the concentration of the crossover at zero temperature the value 0.023, which is in good agreement with experimental values of the quantity, which are about 0.02. The dependence on the model parameter n is examined and found to be weak.
