Abstract:
The angular dependency of light scattered by two-dimensional deterministic Koch islands has been calculated by means of geometric optics. With decreasing typical length, the scattering behaviour converges to a limit signatur. The main features of this scattering characteristic can be associated with a relatively small number of basic reflection and transmission events. In addition we show that the energy distributions of both incoming and outgoing rays show multifractal behaviour.
