Finite-size scaling for first-order phase transitions (rigorous results)

Christian Borgs and Roman Kotecký

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1993, vol. 194, issue 1, 128-136

Abstract: Recent rigorous results on finite size effects for lattice models are reviewed. We consider symmetric and asymmetric first-order phase transitions in cubic and cylindrical geometries and discuss the determination of transition points from finite size data.
