Abstract:
In this paper we introduce some of the main ideas over transport phenomena in suspensions of ferromagnetic particles. In particular, an explicit calculation of the viscosities for spherical particles, based on a solution of the corresponding Smoluchowski equation, is carried out and compared with results obtained previously. The viscosities of a suspension of rod-like particles are also briefly discussed.
