Quantum noise reduction in an electrical circuit having a time dependent parameter

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1993, vol. 197, issue 3, 364-370

Abstract: We investigate the generation of squeezing effects for a driven, time-dependent, LC-circuit. Here, different approach and model constitute a simpler version than others in the literature. It is shown that such a quantized circuit is able to generate squeezed states, whose amount is controllable through the time dependence of the inductance parameter. The present result could be viewed as a sequence of a previous one by Louisell, for a time-independent LC-circuit, where the state evolves from a vacuum to a coherent state.
