Deposition problems

S.F. Edwards

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1993, vol. 200, issue 1, 34-41

Abstract: The paper discusses the problem of the surface structure of a powder created by by ballistic deposition in the cases of (i) uniform spheres (ii) deposition with preferential growth at high points (KPZ), (iii) percolation of small deposited particles through larger particles. A result of particular interest is the direct evaluation of the correlation function index in case (ii).
