Abstract:
Measurements of the dynamic structure factor performed on the MARI spectrometer at ISIS on the metallic glass Fe85B15 in the small Q region are briefly discussed. The measured spectra could be separated in one elastic and one inelastic component. From the inelastic part a “dispersion curve” for the collective excitations in the first pseudo Brillouin zone was obtained for the first time. No indication for the presence of a magnetic scattering component was observed.
