Exact solutions of the semiconductor Boltzmann equation

Abstract:
We extend Case's eigenfunction method for solving the stationary boundary value problem of the one-dimensional inhomogeneous Boltzmann equation to the case including an arbitrarily high constant external field. We apply this method on two models for the electron-phonon interaction and obtain exact analytic solutions.
