Abstract:
We show that the impedance deterministic fractal lattice (ZDFL) model can provide a good physical and theoretical understanding of the far-infrared (FIR) anomalous absorption properties of fractal metallic clusters discussed previously by means of numerical methods. Using the analytical properties of the ZDFL model, it is possible to calculate the power law exponents of the enhancement factors B and of the cross-over length L∗ in terms of the fractal and topological characteristics of the aggregate.
