Two-dimensional diffusion of particles with dipolar-like interaction

Daniel Spišák

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1994, vol. 209, issue 1, 42-50

Abstract: Diffusion dynamics in a fourfold symmetric layer of magnetic particles is investigated using Monte Carlo simulation of a lattice gas model. In addition to exclusion of double site-occupancy dipolar interaction between particles is also assumed. The self-diffusion coefficient, correlation factor and the short-range ordering parameter are calculated in the whole concentration range for various temperatures. An ordered structure was found at low temperature at about a half-filled lattice.
