Abstract:
The problem of calculating the quantum corrections to the thermodynamics of a hard Gaussian overlap mixture is studied. The excess quantum correction to the excess properties like excess second virial coefficient and excess free energy are reported. It is found that the (excess) quantum effect depends on the concentration, molecular diameter ratio R and shape parameter K. A significant feature is that the quantum effect is maximum at K = 1.0 and decreases as K deviates from 1.0.
