Physical nature of the dielectric constant ε of H2O I. Physical processes in an ideal model

A. Stankov

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1994, vol. 211, issue 4, 420-426

Abstract: This paper is a theoretical investigation on the processes accompanying the action of an electric field on dipole liquids, in particular water. The essence of orientational polarization is elucidated profoundly. For the first time, an analytical expression about the dielectric constant ε of water is derived. The quantitative verification confirms the theoretical conclusions.
