Equivalence of classical spins and Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov approximation of the fermionic anharmonic oscillator

Abstract: We show that the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (alias Gaussian) approximation of the initial condition problem of the fermionic anharmonic oscillator is equivalent to a bosonic Hamiltonian system of two classical spins.
