Abstract:
A kinetic theory for dilute gases with short and long range interactions is derived. Not only instantaneous but also retarded interactions are considered. To treat correlations in an appropriate manner a 2-particle Boltzmann density is chosen as the basic quantity of the theory. Thus, the presented theory is the starting point for the derivation of a correlational thermodynamics.
