Multi-fractal aspects of the fine-scale structure of temperature fluctuations in isotropic turbulence

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1995, vol. 221, issue 4, 460-477

Abstract: The multi-fractal aspects of the fine-scale structure of temperature fluctuations in isotropic turbulence are discussed. The characteristic exponent \̂gz for the temperature structure function and the generalized fractal dimension D̂q of the scalar-variance dissipation field are calculated and are shown to compare satisfactorily with experimental measurements.
