A semiclassical statistical model for quantum dissipation

Abstract: The dynamical problem posed by the coupling of quantal to classical degrees of freedom is tackled, within the framework of the quantum friction phenomenon, by recourse to statistical methods embedded within Jaynes' maximum entropy principle.
