On modelling oral tolerance using cellular automata

E. Ahmed

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1997, vol. 237, issue 3, 449-451

Abstract: Oral tolerance is modelled using the Chowdhury et al. model. Two fuzzy generalizations for this model (i.e. models that use fuzzy mathematics) are considered to include autoimmunity. Oral tolerance is studied for these fuzzy models and it is shown that for some cases oral tolerance can be used to treat autoimmunity.
