Interference effects in multiple-light scattering with gain

Abstract:
Experimental results are reported on coherent backscattering and speckle from an amplifying random medium. Also, coherent backscattering with gain is calculated completely, using diffusion theory. To conclude, the concept of a random laser is discussed.
