Abstract:
The Blume-Capel (BC) model with four-spin interactions is studied within the finite cluster approximation (FCA). We have investigated the influence of the four-spin interactions on the phase diagram of the BC model. It is shown that the phase diagram may exhibit a reentrant behaviour and that the tricritical behaviour persists for every strength of the four-spin interaction.
