Thomas-Fermi theory in an n-dimensional space

Bhimsen K. Shivamoggi

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1998, vol. 248, issue 1, 195-206

Abstract: In this paper we undertake further considerations of the Thomas-Fermi theory in an n-dimensional space with the main aim of obtaining insights into the corresponding theory in the three-dimensional space. In the process, the theory also turns out to exhibit a richer physical picture and mathematical structure in the hyperspace (n > 3).
