Abstract:
We propose a model for the order–disorder transition in charged colloidal suspension. The equations of thermodynamic equilibrium in the system are obtained. The analysis of these equations shows the existence of the first-order phase transition within the model proposed. The critical temperature of the phase transition obtained is close to the experimental value.
