Abstract:
Non-specific lipid-mediated interactions between two integral membrane proteins have been investigated using Monte-Carlo simulations. We have found two different ranges of attraction. A depletion-induced attraction in the range r<σL, where σL is the diameter of a lipid and r is the distance between the surfaces of the two proteins, and a fluctuation-induced attraction in the range 1Keywords: Membranes; Monte Carlo (search for similar items in EconPapers)
