Stochastic resonance and ratchets – new manifestations

V. Berdichevsky and M. Gitterman

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1998, vol. 249, issue 1, 88-95

Abstract: We outline two interesting phenomena, stochastic resonance and ratchets, in which the fluctuating environment is utilized. Some new manifestations of these phenomena are illustrated by the example of overdamped driven pendulum with fluctuating internal and external parameters.
