Noncoherent states having Poissonian statistics

Célia M.A. Dantas and B. Baseia

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1999, vol. 265, issue 1, 176-185

Abstract: A class of noncoherent states (NCS) with the same statistical properties of the coherent state (CS) is investigated. Contrarily to the CS, the NCS exhibits nonclassical properties which come from the difference between off-diagonal terms ρn,n′ of the Fock's representation for the CS and the NCS. The phase-distribution and Wigner function for the NCS are also discussed.
