Correlations in a one-dimensional hysteresis model

Abstract: We present exact results for the spin–spin correlations of a one-dimensional simple hysteresis model. The model properties are obtained from non-equilibrium states of an Ising lattice with random local fields. Long-range correlations 〈σ0σn〉 are of the form |n|exp(−λ|n|) rather than exp(−λ|n|).
