Abstract:
A new method for evaluating a characteristic length scale of avalanches in propagating interfaces is presented. The method was applied to propagation of crystalline Al interface into amorphous Al:Ge binary crystal. The results are in agreement with results from direct measurements of the avalanches’ size.
