Abstract:
We report on a Monte Carlo study of the differential heat of adsorption on, square, triangular and honeycomb two-dimensional lattices. The influence of the connectivity on the main scaling parameters in the critical regime is analyzed. The simulation data are compared with mean-field and quasi-chemical approaches, which evidence significative differences between numerical and analytical results. A finite-size scaling analysis for the differential heat of adsorption allows a very accurate determination of the temperature-coverage phase diagram for all considered cases.
