Abstract:
We analysed the imaginary part of frequency dependent dielectric constant ε″(ω) of ethanol and cyclo-octanol, at temperatures below the crystallization. We fitted the measured ε″(ω) to the Cole–Davison function and found that the width parameter decreased as temperature decreased. We estimated the crossover temperature of ethanol and cyclo-octanol by analyzing the temperature dependent relaxation time by the mode-coupling theory.
