Spatial quantum Zeno effect

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2003, vol. 317, issue 3, 509-516

Abstract: The quantum Zeno effect is usually discussed in the context of temporal evolution of a quantum state. We investigate its counterpart in the spatial context and present a general criterion for the occurrence of spatial quantum Zeno effect. Furthermore, a parameter-based position-momentum uncertainty relation involving absolute moment of any order less than 2 is obtained.
