General counting formulae for factorized time correlation diagram analysis

Daniel P. Biebighauser, John Gregoire and Darin J. Ulness

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2003, vol. 320, issue C, 1-10

Abstract: In an effort to contribute to the goal of generalizing the mathematical technique of factorized time correlation (FTC) diagram analysis, counting formulae are derived under very general conditions. Counting formulae for the total number and number of unique FTC diagrams are obtained. Then formulae for several special cases are presented.
