Static structure factor and thermodynamic properties of a binary Yukawa mixture

Abstract: We use the solution of the Ornstein Zernike equation in the mean spherical approximation to find the static structure factor for a hard spheres Yukawa fluid. The thermodynamic and the structure properties of this fluid are given in terms of an accumulative parameter Γ, which satisfies a polynomial equation of degree n⩾4. This parameter is obtained mumerically by an iterative method. We study binary mixtures with a factored interaction for which the classical Lorentz–Berthelot rules are satisfied. Our result for the static structure factor and thermodynamics properties are in good agreement with the computer simulations and former numerical solutions.
