Abstract:
In this paper, we study a single-mode laser cubic model with cross-correlation between real and imaginary parts of the quantum noise in which pump noise is colored. By using unified colored noise approximation and locked phase, we derive the Fokker–Planck Equation of amplitude, and the analytical expressions of mean, variance, and skewness of first-passage-time of laser intensity are calculated. We present a thorough discussion of how the cross-correlation coefficient λq between real and imaginary parts of quantum noise determines the behaviors of the mean, the variance, and the coefficient of skewness. Moreover, we compare the results of this paper with experimental measurements. The experimental measurements can be fitted better by choosing an appropriate cross-correlation coefficient λq between real and imaginary parts of quantum noise.
