Effects of geometrical parameters on dripping from cylindrical nozzles

A D'Innocenzo, F Paladini and L Renna

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2004, vol. 338, issue 1, 272-276

Abstract: Dripping from steel nozzles with tip of different forms is analysed. It is found that patterns of bifurcation diagrams strongly depend upon the geometrical parameters at the exit. An asymmetrical shape of the outlet induces transversal oscillations on the pending drop. Dynamics widely simplifies for thin walls of the tube and for asymmetrical dripping.
