Solute diffusion out of a vesicle

Yan Levin, Marco A. Idiart and Jeferson J. Arenzon

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2004, vol. 344, issue 3, 543-546

Abstract: Motivated by the problem of calculating the effusion time of solute from a spherical vesicle with an open pore, we present an analytical solution of a simpler problem in which solute particles are allowed to escape through a spherical cavity located at the center of the vesicle.
