Strange electrostatics in physics, chemistry, and biology

Abstract: In this paper I will briefly review some curious, and often counterintuitive, results found when the electrostatics and the many-body physics are brought together. The discussion is purely classical, with examples drawn from areas of physics, chemistry, and biology.
