Lattice Boltzmann phase-field modelling of binary-alloy solidification

Abstract: A lattice Boltzmann phase-field method for flows of binary-alloys with liquid–solid phase-transitions is introduced. Applications to two-dimensional flows with solidification fronts are presented and commented on.
