Entropic lattice Boltzmann method beyond Navier–Stokes

L. Szalmás

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2007, vol. 380, issue C, 36-42

Abstract: The paper presents the extension of the entropic lattice Boltzmann model beyond the hydrodynamic level. Quasi-equilibrium approach is introduced to capture the higher-order dynamics in a straightforward manner. Shear decay and micro-Couette flow are simulated which gives satisfactory agreement with expected results.
